The AUT.IT Process

The Free Digital Marketing Audit, Explained Start to Finish

Most agencies offering a free digital marketing audit will not tell you what is in it until you hand over your contact details. This page tells you first. Below is exactly what we look at, what happens in the thirty minutes, what you walk away holding, and what it costs when you decide to do something about it.

We call ours AUT.IT. It is a deep dive into everything a customer sees when they go looking for a business like yours, plus a hard look at the work happening behind the scenes that could be running itself.

The honest version

What AUT.IT Actually Is, and What It Is Not

AUT.IT is a free, comprehensive review of your digital presence, followed by a thirty-minute conversation about it. Before we talk, we go looking for your business the way a customer would. We search for what you sell, in the places you sell it. We check what Google shows, what AI assistants say, what your reviews look like, and what happens when someone actually lands on your website.

Then we sit down and tell you the three things worth fixing first.

Here is what it is not. It is not an automated PDF from a scanning tool with a red score and a phone number at the bottom. It is not a pitch deck. It is not sixty minutes of discovery questions designed to qualify you for a proposal. You are not going to get a forty-page report nobody reads.

It also is not a commitment. If the honest answer is that your marketing is in decent shape and you should spend the money elsewhere, that is what you will hear. If the answer is that you need something we do not do, we will name someone who does. Honesty pays better than hype, and the discovery conversation is the best filter we have ever found for landing clients we actually enjoy working with.

What we look at

What a Free Digital Marketing Audit Should Cover

Search visibility

Where you rank for the searches that matter, whether you show up in the local map pack, and how your Google Business Profile compares to the businesses beating you.

AI answers

What ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, and Perplexity say when someone asks them to recommend a business like yours. A growing share of local buying decisions starts here, and almost nobody is checking it.

Website and conversion

Load speed, mobile behavior, and the far more important question of whether a visitor can tell within five seconds what you do and how to hire you.

Reputation and reviews

Review volume, recency, rating, and how you respond. Reviews are both a ranking signal and the single most-read thing about your business.

Lead response speed

How long a new lead actually waits for a reply, measured, not guessed. This is frequently the cheapest fix on the whole list and the one owners are most surprised by.

Workflow automation

The repetitive work in your week a machine should be handling instead of you, from retyping form submissions to chasing reviews one text at a time.

How it works

The AUT.IT Process, Step by Step

01

Scan

Before the call, we go look. We run your business through search, through AI assistants, through your own site as a first-time visitor, and against two or three of your closest local competitors. This is done by hand, not by a tool that emails you a score. It takes us a couple of hours and costs you nothing.

02

Sit Down

Thirty minutes on a call with Jeremiah. Not an account manager, not a salesperson working from a script. We walk you through what we found in plain language, and you get to interrupt with questions the whole way. Bring the thing that has been bothering you.

03

Shortlist

We name the three things worth fixing first, in order, with a realistic sense of what each one takes. Not thirty items. Three. Anything longer is a list you will never start.

04

Decide

You take the shortlist and do whatever you want with it. Hand it to your current agency. Do it yourself. Hire us. All three happen, and we are fine with all three. Nothing is scheduled and nobody calls you six times.

The deliverable

What You Walk Away With

A written summary of what we found, the ranked shortlist of three fixes, and a plain-language explanation of what each one realistically takes in time and money. If any of the three is something we do not offer, it still goes on the list, because a shortlist that only contains services we sell is not a shortlist, it is a menu.

You own it. There is nothing to sign to receive it.

A word on what the summary is not. It is not a template with your business name pasted into it. Every AUT.IT writeup is assembled from what we actually found on your listings, your site and your competitors, which is why we cap how many we run in a month. If we are booked out, we will tell you that instead of sending you a generic report to keep you warm.

Most owners tell us the useful part is not the list of problems. It is finding out which two of the ten things they were worried about do not matter at all.

The part nobody checks

Where AI Automation Fits In

The automation half of AUT.IT is the part most owners have never had looked at, and it is often where the fastest money is.

We time your lead response. Someone fills out your form at 7 p.m. on a Thursday and we watch what happens. Usually the answer is nothing until the next morning, by which point that person has messaged the next three businesses on the list. Closing that gap is frequently the highest-return fix on the whole page, because it makes every lead you are already paying for work harder.

We also look for the work you are doing by hand that should not be. Retyping form submissions into a spreadsheet. Chasing reviews one text at a time. Rebuilding the same report every month. Assembling quotes from scratch. Each of those is an hour a week you are spending on something a workflow could do while you are on a job site.

The honest caveat: automation fixes friction, it does not fix a broken process. A chatbot bolted onto a business that never calls people back is theater. When a human should stay in the loop, we will say so. You can read more about what that actually looks like on our AI automation page.

No surprises

What It Costs, and What Happens After

The audit is free. There is no upsell inside it, no audit fee credited toward your first month, and no card required.

If you decide to work with us afterward, our pricing is published, fixed, and in writing before anything starts. Projects begin at $2,500 one-time, and the ongoing connected system runs $3,500 per month. No hourly billing, no surprise invoices, no contract you cannot get out of. You can read the full pricing page right now, before you ever book, which is more than most of the agencies you are comparing us against will let you do.

One more piece of honesty about timing. Real SEO takes three to six months to move. A website or brand build runs weeks, not days. A focused lead-response automation can be live in one to two weeks. Anyone promising page one in thirty days is selling you something. The sooner you know where you actually stand, the sooner that three to six month clock starts.

Who runs it

Why the Owner Runs Your Audit

Every AUT.IT audit is run by Jeremiah Aut, the owner of Involve Digital Marketing. Not a junior analyst, not an SDR, not a rotating account manager. You can call him directly at 904-699-8484.

He was born and raised in Orange Park, is based in St. Augustine, and serves St. Johns, Duval, and Clay Counties. He is the current President of the Rotary Club of Orange Park Sunset and a member of the Clay County Chamber of Commerce.

That matters for a practical reason, not a sentimental one. When the person who ran your audit is also the person who would do the work, and who is going to run into you at a chamber lunch, the incentive to oversell disappears. Small is a feature here, not a bug. You can read more about Jeremiah if you want the longer version.

FAQ

Free Digital Marketing Audit Questions

Yes. No card, no fee credited toward anything, no strings. We spend a couple of hours on it because it is the most honest sales process we have found. Plenty of the businesses we audit are not a fit for us, and they still leave with a useful shortlist.

The call is thirty minutes. The review work happens before the call and takes us a couple of hours. You get the written summary within two business days after we talk.

No. We are based in St. Augustine and most of our clients are in Northeast Florida, but the audit works anywhere. Local search and AI visibility get analyzed against whatever market you actually serve.

No pitch deck, no proposal, no follow-up sequence. If there is a fit we will say so at the end and you can decide. If there is not, we will tell you that too and point you somewhere better.

Your website address and the name of your business. That is it. If you want a deeper look, view access to Google Analytics and your Google Business Profile helps, but it is optional and nothing is required up front.

You do. Take the shortlist to your current agency, hand it to an in-house marketer, or do it yourself. And if you do hire us, you own your website, your domain, your ad accounts, and your data the entire time, during the engagement and after it ends.

That is a common reason people book. A second opinion from someone with no access to your account and nothing to protect is useful. We will not trash your current agency to win the work. Frequently the honest finding is that they are doing fine and the problem is somewhere else entirely.

A tool scans your site and generates a score. It cannot tell you that your best local competitor just started running ads, that AI assistants are recommending them and not you, or that your form is quietly failing on mobile. Those findings come from a person looking, which is why this takes hours instead of seconds.
